Compare two audits

Who this is for

SEO and engineering leads proving a deploy helped or hurt the same property without mixing in competitor URLs.

When to use this screen

After at least two completed audits exist for one Sites entry, especially when Max pages and Max depth were similar between runs.

Before you start

Pick the same site for both selectors. The After list excludes whichever audit you chose as Before.

In the app

1. Under Audit & Analysis, choose Compare.
2. The page title is Audit comparison with subtitle "Compare two audit runs side-by-side to see score changes".

Steps

1. Select site. Dropdown of workspace sites with audit counts.
2. Before (older audit). Pick an earlier run (date, pages, grade, id).
3. After (newer audit). Pick a different run from the same site.
4. Compare. Renders per-category comparisons with improved, declined, or neutral indicators and numeric deltas.

Common pitfalls

• Missing sites or audits. Complete another crawl under Audits, or check you are in the correct workspace.
• Surprising deltas. Confirm Max pages and Max depth were not changed drastically between runs.
